Age Restrictions for the Supply of Alcohol

Pursuant to the Licensing Act 2003 it is an offence for any person under the age of 18 to buy, or attempt to buy, intoxicating liquor subject to a maximum fine of £1,000, or for any person over the age of 18 to buy intoxicating liquor on behalf of any person under the age of 18, subject to a maximum fine on conviction of £5,000.

Pursuant to the Licensing Scotland Act 2005 it is an offence for any person under the age of 18 to buy, or attempt to buy, intoxicating liquor subject to a maximum fine of £200, or for any person over the age of 18 to buy intoxicating liquor on behalf of any person under the age of 18, subject to a maximum fine on conviction of £5,000 and or 3 months imprisonment.

3Venice Wine Merchants is committed to upholding both our legal and social obligations as a retailer alcohol products.

In making a purchase of alcohol from 3Venice Wine you are accepting these terms and conditions, and you agree to provide 3Venice Wine truthful and accurate information and act in accordance with the Licensing Act of 2003 or where applicable the Licensing Scotland Act 2005.

Delivery

3Venice Wine Merchants will not be held responsible for delivery failures beyond our reasonable control. Estimates for delivery times are best-possible indications only and are not intended to be binding.

Delivery is by (i) “The Satellite”, our temperature controlled company van, or (ii) by postal courier.

Delivery by “The Satellite” is within 3 working days of our acceptance and confirmation of an order, and is free, but only available for deliveries to the following postcodes:

• Cambridge: CB1, CB2, CB3, CB4, CB5, CB21, CB22, CB23, CB24, CB25, CB8
• Royston: SG8
• St Albans: AL1, AL2, AL4, AL10

Delivery to UK Mainland addresses only. With the exception of delivery by "The Satellite" and for promotions only where explicitly stated or with a valid promotion code, delivery is £15.00. Delivery on orders over £100.00 is free.

If the item is in stock we will endeavour to despatch your order on the next working day after you place it - but please allow up to 28 days for delivery.

Our courier company will attempt to deliver twice and leave cards both times before taking the goods back to their nearest depot, whereupon the recipient becomes responsible for their collection. If the address is incorrect the goods will be returned to 3Venice Wine Merchants and a charge incurred for re-delivery.

Once goods have been delivered to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.

Payment is due at the time of ordering. We accept PayPal and most major credit cards.

Prices & Descriptions

Prices, offers and details are as set out on our website. Prices on our website are retail prices and are inclusive of UK excise duty and VAT. Prices may be subject to change without notice. The product price that is selected on the website (for instance the individual bottle price or the price per case of 6 bottles) is the price we apply when processing your order.

Although we endeavour to ensure that all pricing information on this website is accurate, occasionally an error may occur and goods may be mis-priced. If we discover a pricing error we will, at our discretion, either: contact you and ask you whether you wish to cancel your order or continue with the order at the correct price; or notify you that we have cancelled your order. We will not be obliged to supply goods at the incorrect price.

Although we make every effort to do so, we cannot guarantee vintages. We will contact you if a vintage that you have ordered has become unavailable. Where possible we aim to satisfy orders using more recent vintages and if we need to do this with your order we will do so in consultation with you.

With the exception of specific offers or promotions, our 6-bottle case price only applies to unmixed cases of 6 bottles. Every care has been taken to ensure descriptions, measurements, colours and prices are correct. All items are subject to availability at the time of ordering.

Terms & Conditions of Sale

Orders

• We will not sell or deliver alcohol to anyone who is, or appears to be, under the age of 18. By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and we reserve the right not to deliver if we are unsure of this.
• The placing of an order anywhere on our website does not constitute a contract, which is made only when we accept your order and process payment.
• We reserve the right not to accept any order.
• We will send you an acknowledgement of your order by email, to confirm our receipt of your order. An order is not a contract.
• All orders are subject to availability. We cannot guarantee the availability of specific products or vintages. No payment will be taken until we have confirmed your order and are able to send you a despatch note.
• Products sold to trade customers are intended for resale in the U.K. and not for resale outside the EEA.

Cancellations

Goods being cancelled must be done so within 7 working days, beginning the day after receipt of the goods. Goods must be unused, intact and in their original packaging. We will refund the price of the order excluding any delivery charge and where relevant less the cost incurred to collect the goods. To cancel your order you must notify us in writing (by letter or email). 3Venice Wine Merchants will refund any monies within 30 days of cancellation. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Cooling off period

Goods maybe returned, for any reason, within 7 working days. We can be notified of any returning goods by phoning 07487 628056 and emailing info@3venicewine.com. A full refund will be made within 30 days of cancellation (3Venice Wine Merchants reserves the right to request that the customer meets the cost of returning the goods). This does not affect you statutory rights.

Faulty goods

In the event of goods being faulty, please return to 3Venice Wine Merchants for a replacement or refund. Goods must be rejected within 7 working days beginning the day after receipt of the goods. If you have any queries regarding faulty goods please email info@3venicewine.com.

How to Return / Exchange

Please keep all packaging and return the goods as they were sent to you.

Include your name, address, order number, email address, phone number and whether you would like a replacement or refund.

Take your parcel(s) to your nearest post office and send them to 3Venice Wine Merchants, Unit 5 Valley Court Offices, Lower Road, Croydon, Royston, Herts SG8 0HF.

3Venice Wine may, at our discretion, collect the goods being returned. In such cases, a date and time to collect the goods will be arranged with you.

Intellectual Property

All copyright, database rights, trademarks and any other intellectual property rights in and to the content on this website, such as text, graphics, logos, banners, images, buttons, are the sole property of 3Venice Wine Merchants Ltd, or the applicable licensor.

We want you to shop with us with total confidence. All personal information collected at time of ordering is transferred from our website into our secure database and facilitates the process when you come to order again. None of this information is made available to third parties.

If you would prefer us to delete this information please contact us at info@3venicewine.com with a note to remove your details from our database.

For the purposes of the prevention or detection of offences, and/or the apprehension or prosecution of offenders, we may share any information that we collect with the Police, other public or private sector agencies or representative bodies in accordance with the relevant legislation. Title to our Goods shall remain vested in 3Venice Wine Merchants Ltd and shall not pass to you (the Buyer) until the purchase price for our Goods has been paid in full and received by us.

Force Majeure

We shall not be held liable for any failure(s) to meet our obligations where the failure(s) are caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts.

None of the above Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights.
